Saturday 4th February 2023 was host to the 4th Orange Series Under 9’s tournament which took place at Topspin Sports Centre.
The group stages kicked off with each player guaranteed a minimum number of 3 matches before the top two from each group went through to the Quarter Finals. There were some hard fought battles with eventually the stronger players progressing through.
Knock out stages commenced and with many close matches there were only 2 who survived defeat.
Maya Kanbargimath faced off against Alejo Puente in the finals where she eventually overcome her opponent to win 11/9
Total of 11 players were participated in the event.First was Round Robin. There were total two groups in which one group had 5 kids and one group had 6 players.In the five-member group, everyone had four matches each and in the six-member group, everyone had five matches each.After the round robin, a total of six kids qualified for the knock out stage.Followed by semi-finals, and finals.
